Local River Outfitter Takes Over CR100
Twelve years after creating the Colorado River 100, race director Mike Drost is stepping down to allow a local outfitter to take over. Bastrop River Company, a kayak and canoe livery service in business since 2012, will assume duties of event production and race director for the 13th annual CR100. Drost will stay on board in limited capacity through the planning phase to ensure a smooth transition. "It is an honor to carry on the good work that Mike has done with this race.
